Overview:
MacroGenics has developed a portfolio of product candidates and technologies that it uses to advance novel products and improve on existing products to develop next generation antibody products. One focus is to exploit the fundamental biology of Fc receptors like CD16 and CD32B to develop novel monoclonal antibody products. Another approach is to focus on is engineering of antibody Fc domains to bind more favorably to immune receptors which induce antibody mediated activities such as antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC). The Dual Activating ReTargeting (DART) approach is a covalent diabody strategy MacroGenics is using to develop antibody-like scaffold proteins. Beyond these product development programs are efforts to identify novel targets for cancer treatment through proteomics analysis utilizing a procedure known as isotopic-coded affinity tagging (ICAT).
